Visit of the exhibition “BioFach” the world largest exhibition of organic food in Nuremberg, Germany.

 

The International Coordinator of NECOFA, Dr. Sahle Tesfai, represented NECOFA at the “BioFach”. Mr. Wolfgang Henning and Mr. Michael Karl accompanied him to the exhibition. The “BioFach” with its exhibitors showed the whole range of organic products in the world organic market. Many Farming Cooperatives from different countries of the world where represented. Organic brands, Importers, Exporters, Official Organizations and other companies from all over the world exposed their potential and competence.

 

The NECOFA delegates were able to meet some companies who are willing to cooperate with NECOFA according to the aims of its members. Contacts with wholesalers as well as with specified traders where made. The NECOFA member OROMIA COFFEE FARMERS COOPERATIVE UNION was successfully introduced to a trader from Germany and will be contacted as soon as the samples arrive in Germany.  Another aim was to promote a portion of Sesame from Ethiopia too. Some contacts were made with importers of dry products and special oilseed trading companies. Samples will be over as soon as they arrive in Germany. 

 

As result of the visit of the delegates of NECOFA it may be assumed that a lot of fruitful contacts were made and they expressed their willingness to cooperate with NECOFA. The implementation of all of the requirements are thereby the starting constrain. (For instants: Certification, logistics,…)
