The International Centre North South Dialogue ICNSD and the Society for Sustainable Development GNE introduced itself and their work on the Green Week Witzenhausen (WiWo) 2006. Apart from information to the main points of work of the two companies above all the project NECOFA was introduced to the visitors of the Green Week Witzenhausen.

NECOFA - „network for Ecofarming in Africa “, an education network, supported by InWEnt, developed the declaration of Kumasi in October 2004. This declaration is an explanation which describes the bad situation many Africans are facing and claim to abolish these problems. The means, which follows this demand, is the promotion of organic products of the members on the European market for fair prices.

Apart from the provided information goods from Ethiopia were offered such as raw coffee, incense and typical herbs. Also arts and crafts articles from the Sudan and Morocco laid out to the sales. Ethiopian coffee was prepared in a ceremonial way and was beside the offer of a free head massage the highlight of the market stand.

The market stand was very attractive to the visitors of the WiWo. Often we got positive feedbacks of customers, who praised a successful representation and enjoyed the cultural peculiarities of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony a lot. Also the head massage, a contribution to the cosiness on the WiWo, attained very well. Thus the official delegation of the WiWo went past also on their round tour at our market stand and let themselves with coffee and a head massage be regaled. The delegation was formed by a representative of the WiWo supervisors, the president of the University of Kassel, Mr. Professor Postlep, and the Secretary of Agriculture by Hesse, Mr. Dietzel and by the mayor of Witzenhausen. Mr. Postlep and Mr. Dietzel invited Mr. Tesfai to write a letter to them regarding the promotion project. They promised to look for possibilities to support the project.

Finally we are even very pleased over the success of our presentation and we in the next year the WiWo will participate.
