NECOFA  - Cameroon Country Report

I. INTRODUCTION

 

Since November 2002, NECOFA-Cameroon has witnessed a

number of changes. Some of these changes include;

 

 

1. Reorganization of the National Executive body.

 

This reorganization was done in Buea on 24th of February 2001 after an internal evaluation of the actual situation of the group immediately after the International Follow-up workshop in Bamenda in October - November 2000.

 

 

2. Establishment of Regional Branches;

 

As at November 2000 in the International follow-up event in Bamenda-Cameroon, no functional regional groups of NECOFA -Cameroon existed. Now, three (3) regional groups exist (Northwest, Southwest and Centre).

 

 

3. The membership of NECOFA-Cameroon

 

The number of membership has risen considerably since 2002.

Membership is in two categories;

• Active and registered
• Active but not yet formally registered.
